An auto rickshaw designed and approved by BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology) refers to a rickshaw that has been fully designed by a team of BUET engineers, followed by the development of a prototype. After thoroughly evaluating its overall safety features and quality standards, BUET granted approval for manufacturing auto rickshaws based on that design and standard. These rickshaws are environmentally friendly, driver- and passenger-friendly, durable, and safe for road use.
Because these vehicles are built according to government-approved design and standards, ensuring the safety of both drivers and passengers, and they are durable. Moreover, they are cost-effective in terms of maintenance.

Yes, according to the new policy of Dhaka City Corporation, it is mandatory for auto rickshaw drivers to have a valid driving license to operate on the road. At the same time, the auto rickshaw must be licensed by the City Corporation.
The maintenance cost of BUET-approved rickshaws is comparatively low. With regular use and proper maintenance, they remain in good condition for a long time.
So far, no one is selling auto rickshaws on installments.
